Our Spicy Story

In Lucknow, food isn’t just a meal — it’s a craft, a legacy, and a matter of pride. The aroma wafting from a perfectly tempered dal or a slow-cooked biryani defines our culture. And at the heart of that aroma lies pure, unadulterated spices — the soul of Awadhi cuisine.

But over time, we found ourselves frustrated. The market was flooded with low-quality and adulterated spices — dull in flavor, masked in color, and devoid of the essence we grew up with. We knew the difference, because in our kitchens, spice quality was never compromised.

 

That’s when we took matters into our own hands — literally. For years, we sourced whole spices directly from the finest spice-growing regions of India, just for our family’s use. We handpicked the best jeera from Rajasthan, cardamom from Kerala’s hills, and red chillies from Andhra’s sun-drenched farms.

 

What started as a personal quest soon grew into a purpose. And that’s how HANSHA was born — a brand built on a mission to bring India (and the world) the purity, aroma, and richness that true spices offer.
